All about the name
For all that wrack one’s brains about the name of the band, here is the answer: The name ‘CELEST’ which was chosen years before metal bands, anti-baby pills and the like, originates from a fine single released in the early 90′s by English indie/shoegazing band ‘The Telescopes’ (titled ‘Celeste’), at a time when shoegazing was being swallowed up by manchester rave. Which was not a bad thing! Watch the video above!
